The owners, John and Penny Adie, act as sole agents with the
visitor.
Bookings will only be accepted
in writing on the formal booking form together with a deposit
of one third of the total holiday cost. Should the holiday commence
less than 8 weeks before arrival the full holiday payment plus
any additional charges will be due with the booking.
Once a booking confirmation has
been issued the visitor becomes liable for the balance of payment,
plus any additional charges, eight weeks prior
to the holiday commencement date.
Once a booking has been accepted
by the owners the booking can only be changed to another property
by treating the original booking as a cancellation. The holiday
dates may be changed providing a property is available for the
new dates chosen. In either event a rebooking fee of £25
is payable.
In the event of cancellation we
will try to re-let the cottage. If this is possible we will refund
what has been paid less a £25 administrative fee. No refund
is possible if we are unable to re-let. It is suggested that you
take out holiday insurance to cover unfortunate or unforseen circumstances.
Payment may be made by cheque/postal
order/cash. Cheques or postal orders should be made payable to
Penny Adie and cash should always be sent registered post. In
no case are post dated cheques acceptable. Applicants residing
abroad may pay by Eurocheques made out in Sterling up to a maximum
of £200 each or by Sterling cheque drawn on a UK
bank. The owners reserve the right to charge a supplement to cover
any loss due to currency fluctuations. A fixed administration
fee of £10 is charged in the event of any payment by cheque
not being honoured. Should the problem not be resolved immediately
the holiday will be offered for resale.
Holidays are strictly limited to
the number of people specified on the confirmation of booking
form. The owners must be notified of any alterations after the
confirmation has been issued.
Holidays can be booked for up to
a maximum of four weeks. They commence at 4 pm on the
day of arrival and end at 10 am on the day of departure.
If the period booked is exceeded without approval in writing visitors
will be liable for any costs due to an unauthorised extension.
Visitors are responsible for taking
care of the property and contents and making sure that they leave
it in a good and tidy condition by the requested time of departure.
Breakages, damage to property and any exceptional cleaning must
be paid for prior to departure. Note that there is a refundable
cleaning deposit of £50 which should be claimed prior to
departure.
The person who signs the booking
form is authorised to agree by the booking conditions on behalf
of all persons included on the booking form and those substituted/added
at a later date. The signatory must be a member of the party and
be over 18 years of age.
